tributeI’ve been a fan of Joe’s singing for a lot of years. When we first met in Philadelphia in 1960, I asked him up on stage at the old Showboat Lounge and I heard something in his vocal sound I liked. He was a voice student then and I told him to keep going and sing as much as he could. Over the years we kept in touch and I saw him vI worked the east coast and also during his army years on the west coast in San Franscisco, Seattle, and L.A.

26 years later we’re close friends and his singing blossomed and improved until now he’s my favorite boy singer my protege and my dear friend.
